Petition to Stop Sewage Spills into Ottawa's Rivers

Dear Members of Parliament and Members of Provincial Parliament,

We, the undersigned, are calling on the federal government, and government of Ontario, to help fund the Ottawa River Action Plan.

More than 400 million litres of untreated sewage gets dumped directly into the Ottawa River every year. The City of Ottawa has a plan that will put an end to this appalling situation and we are calling on the federal and provincial governments to contribute their fair share of the money to make it happen.

We want a sewage free river!

Chers députés fédéraux et provinciaux,

Nous les soussigné(e)s, demandons au gouvernement fédéral et au gouvernement de l'Ontario, de contribuer au financement du plan d'action de la rivière des Outaouais.

À chaque année, plus de 400 millions de litres d'eaux usées non traitées sont déversées directement dans la rivière des Outaouais. La Ville d'Ottawa a un plan qui pourrait mettre fin à cette effroyable situation et nous demandons aux gouvernements fédéral et provincial de contribuer leur juste part pour y arriver.

Nous exigeons une rivière exempte d'eaux d'égout!
